Inside Play, in the heart of Pensacola’s downtown entertainment district, the space is filled to the brim with vintage arcade games dating back as far as 1972 and into the ’80s, ’90s and beyond.
If you listen closely you’ll hear, as an undertone to some of the area’s best DJs, the distinct and recognizable sound effects from your favorite games mixed with bustling crowd energy.
But Play isn’t just for any “geek off the street.” It’s always a party with great cocktails and a nice beer selection. The appeal to participate is universal and quite perfect — booze, great people and fun games are a combination for an awesome adventure.
Voted “Best of the Coast: Best Karaoke Night” for over a decade, plus Best Bar Overall and Best Bar Downtown for consecutive years, Play isn’t just an arcade bar — it’s a Pensacola institution.
Please note: our arcade cabinets are the real deal — vintage and classic. While we keep them running with love, these decades-old machines sometimes need a little extra care. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
